Recreation Dance & Tumbling Program


Our recreational program offers a variety of classes for kids ages 3+ and adults. Please see the list of classes offered and more information below.  

 


AB3s – Creative movement specifically designed for the 3 year old student. Class meets for 30 minutes one time per week. Dancers wear pink ballet slippers.


Kindermoves – Pre-ballet class for 4-year-olds. Class meets for 45 minutes one time per week. Dancers wear pink ballet slippers.

Sweet Petites - Beginning jazz/ballet, and tap class for 5 and 6 year old dancers. Class meets for 1 hour, one time per week to learn jazz and ballet basics, and a tap routine. Dancers have the opportunity to compete their tap dance in 1 competition. Sweet Petites offers dancers an introduction to competition without additional weekly commitments.

 

Beginning Hip Hop – Learn the fundamentals of hip hop and movement. Recommended for students 6-8 years old. Class meets for 30 minutes one time per week.


Jazz, Tap and Contemporary Classes – Recommended for students 8+. Classes meet for 1 hour, one time per week.

Tumbling - 45 mins - 1 hour/week class to learn tumbling and acro fundamentals to advanced skills with our tumbling and gymnastics coach. Dancers should register for the class geared to their specific age and skill level. 


Adult Tap & Hip Hop Classes – Age 18+ Welcome. Classes meet for 45 minutes, one time per week. Available for all levels. Dancers wear black tap oxfords for tap and tennis shoes for hip hop (TBD based on instructor). 

Ballet Levels 1-7 - Students will be placed based on instructor recommendation and Age. Contact us for details. Ballet 1 begins at age 6 - Ballet 7 which ends at age 18. 

 

Silver Slippers - A dance class for those 55yrs+ - no dance experience required. No jumps or turns, just gentle movement and routines that leave you feeling refreshed, not worn out. We work on posture, balance and joint mobility through the exercises, as well as find the joy of moving together. Classes start  Thursday, September 30th and are held from9:30 am to 10:30 am. 12 classes in the fall session (No class November 25). Fee: $10/class. First class complementary to new members. General Dance Attire
Our recreational dancers can wear all types of dancewear: leotard, shorts, leggings, tights. Dance shoes are required and may vary by class. All long hair needs to be pulled back in a ponytail or as specified by instructor.

Ballet Classroom Attire

All Classical Ballet dancers are required to wear pink tights and pink split-sole ballet slippers. Hair must be secured in a bun.
