Recreation and Adult Dance +Tumbling Program


Our recreational program offers a variety of classes for kids ages 3+ and adults. Please see the list of classes offered and more information below.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Halloween23.HEIC

AB3s and 4s – Creative movement specifically designed for 3 and 4 year old dance students. Class meets for 30 minutes one time per week. Dancers wear pink ballet slippers (girls) and black ballet slippers (boys).

Sweet Petites - Pre-Competition jazz and tap class for 5 - 8 year old dancers. Class meets for 1 hour, one time per week to learn jazz and tap technique basics, and 2 routines. Dancers have the opportunity to compete their routines at 1 competition (in Burnsville - May 2024) without the additional commitments of our competition students. 

 

Hip Hop – Learn the fundamentals of hip hop and movement. 


Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary Classes – Classes meet for 30 mins -1 hour, one time per week. Recommended ages/grades displayed on the class list above.

Tumbling - 30 - 45 minute classes held 1x/week class to learn tumbling and acro fundamentals to advanced skills with our tumbling and gymnastics coach. Dancers should register for the class geared to their specific age and skill level. 


Adult Classes: Tap, Contemporary Ballet, & Hip Hop* – Age 18+ welcome. Classes meet for 45 minutes - 1 hour, one time per week. Available for all levels. Dancers wear black tap oxfords for tap, ballet shoes for ballet. Adults wear tennis shoes for hip hop.

*Adult Hip Hop is a competitive group that competes at 1-2 competitions in the spring

Ballet (Levels 1-7) - Students will be placed based on instructor recommendation and Age. Contact us for details on more advanced ballet levels. 

General Dance Attire
Our recreational dancers can wear all types of dancewear: leotard, shorts, leggings, tights. Dance shoes are required and may vary by class. All long hair needs to be pulled back in a ponytail or as specified by instructor.

Ballet Classroom Attire

All Classical Ballet dancers are required to wear pink tights and pink split-sole ballet slippers. Hair must be secured in a bun.
